The Call for papers for the third edition of the ACM Workshop on Reinforcement Learning for Energy Management in Buildings and Cities is now published at http://rlem-workshop.net We expand beyond RL to more general AI in buildings, in particular real world demonstrations.

IEL’s awesome PhD student Hagen Fritz has been selected out of an international pool of applicants as 1 of 15 PhD Symposium Fellows at the Durham School of Architectural Engineering and Construction PhD Symposium.

Dr Nagy co-organizes the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI)’s AI Grand Challenge on Grid Interactive Smart Communities. The activities include monthly meetings and quarterly webinars. The kick-off meeting took place on April 28th with two great presentations by Greg Wolfson, CTO Ecosmart Solutions and Aditie Garg, Senior Researcher at EPRI.

Dr Nagy joins the program committe for the ACM workshop on Applied Machine Learning for Intelligent Energy Systems (AMLIES) 2022 co-located with ACM e-Energy'22.

Together with Dr Miller (NUS), Dr Nagy will be the Workshop co-chair for ACM BuildSys'22 the premier conference for smart infrastructure systems. The call for Workshops is now published here https://docs.
